Approved disciplines as assessors

Allied health professionals, Registered and Clinical Nurses (APER only) can assess for select equipment and home modifications relevant to their discipline for eligible clients. It is expected that individual assessors adhere to their professional conduct and only complete assessments and recommendations for items within their skills and scope of practice.

Different equipment and home modification types may only be prescribed by approved disciplines. This information can be found in the Equipment Program Equipment In-Scope List (XLSX 139.8 KB) and the Home Modifications In-Scope List (XLSX 81.5 KB).

All requests completed by assessors are sent to the Equipment Program for consideration at DHSEquipmentProgram@sa.gov.au.
